My Neighbor Painted an Insult on My Lawn, So I Taught Him a Lesson He Won’t Forget

Brian had enjoyed over ten years of peaceful living in his quiet neighborhood, where everyone kept to themselves and respected each other’s space—until Tim moved in next door. At first, their interaction was friendly enough. Tim introduced himself, mentioning that he and his wife, Opal, had just moved in after leaving the city behind for a more tranquil lifestyle.

Brian, who had lived there for years, welcomed Tim, believing they would get along well.

However, it wasn’t long before Tim started causing problems. One afternoon, he asked if he could use Brian’s driveway for a few days while his own was being repaved.

Brian, trying to be polite but practical, explained that his family had multiple cars, and the driveway was always in use. Tim didn’t take this well and stomped away from Brian’s door in frustration.

The next morning, Brian found Tim’s truck parked halfway into his driveway, blocking him in. Furious, Brian confronted Tim, but the latter just shrugged it off, claiming it was “only for a few hours.”

This disrespect continued throughout the week, with Tim repeatedly leaving vehicles and equipment in Brian’s driveway despite their earlier discussion.

At dinner, Brian vented his frustration to his wife, Kelsey, who advised him to file a complaint with the homeowners’ association.

However, Brian’s patience was pushed to the limit when, one morning, he discovered that someone had spray-painted “SELFISH JERK” in large orange letters across his lawn.

Enraged, Brian marched to Tim’s house and confronted him. Tim, grinning, taunted him, asking, “What are you going to do about it?”

Though the police couldn’t do much about the graffiti, Brian had his own plan in mind. He called his brother, Andrew, who owned a landscaping business.

Andrew arrived with his crew and a new, special addition—chalk-based dye designed for sprinklers. They worked together to replace Brian’s lawn and installed the new sprinkler system that would ensure Tim got a taste of his own medicine.

The following morning, as Tim walked his dog past Brian’s house, the sprinklers turned on, drenching Tim and his dog with bright blue water.

Brian, standing on his porch with a cup of coffee, watched the scene unfold with satisfaction. Humiliated, Tim stormed over later that day, covered in blue stains, and demanded an explanation.

Brian, leaning casually against the doorframe, coolly repeated Tim’s own words: “What are you going to do, Tim? Call the cops over some water?”

Since that day, Tim hadn’t caused any further problems for Brian. Though Brian was ready, just in case, to teach him another lesson if needed.
