June 24, 2024 – Dermatologists at City General Hospital reported an unusual medical case this week – a patient presenting with an extreme case of cystic acne covering large areas of their body. “This is one of the most severe cases of acne we’ve seen in our practice,” said Dr. Samantha Lee, the lead dermatologist on the case. “The patient’s face, back, chest, and limbs were covered in inflamed, painful cystic lesions. It’s a very debilitating condition both physically and emotionally for the individual.”
